MAOUS (Jayden Dennis M.) began his musical career in Johannesburg, where he recorded his first single 'In The Mirror' under the name 'Elle Guéz'. His struggles with mental health and identity, as a transgender and autistic youth dwelling from a dysfunctional background, led him to pursue music as a means of safety and expression. He moved on to establish his artistry in his hometown under the name 'E.L.L.E', where he released his first EP 'F-Word', his second single 'Plains (This Side)' , and set about mixing and recording up-and-coming talent around the city to acquaint himself with the underground scene. In 2018 he moved to Florida to attend college, and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Recording Arts from Full Sail University. He relocated to London in 2021, to establish himself as an artist and songwriter. MAOUS prides himself on his genre-hopping abilities, and musical diversity. Having written and produced Pop, Latin Pop, Reggaeton, House, Rap, Singer-Songwriter, Alternative Rock, and Country music, MAOUS has an eclectic repertoire, and an understanding of sound that is entirely unique to him. His R&B and Electronic musical influences, fused with his soulful vocal arrangements, make for a sonic experience that hasn’t been taped into before.
